Two meanings · One name

Ploy.

English
ploy
/plɔɪ/ — noun
A clever strategy or move; the smart maneuver that gets you what you came for.
&
Thai · ภาษาไทย
พลอย
phloi — noun
A gem. A precious stone — hand-cut, hard to find, worth the search.

Every man who comes to Thailand is, in his own way, looking for both:
a ploy to find his gem. A strategy that actually works.

Let Ploy the matchmaker
be your ploy.

Most men come to Thailand looking for fantasy. The few who find a real partner come looking for something else — and they need someone who can tell the difference.

Our story.Why we built this.

I'm Ploy. I grew up in Surin, in Isan — the rural northeast of Thailand. Years ago I worked as a bar girl in Pattaya — the same city most foreign men think they understand after a week.

That's where I met Ben. He is twenty-two years older than I am — and yes, that's the kind of detail people decide on before they ever meet you. We chose to do it anyway. We were both, in our own ways, lost. We argued. We misunderstood each other. We almost didn't make it. But we did the slow, awkward work of actually learning each other, and now we are married with three sons.

What I wanted in a man, more than anything else, was simple: a leader. Someone who knew how to make decisions. Money to prove he could. And — this is the one that catches most foreign men by surprise — time to actually spend with me. All three, or nothing. Ben had all three. The age, the culture, the language — those gaps I knew I could work with. A man missing one of those three? That was a gap I couldn't fix.

What I learned is this: Pattaya is full of foreign men who say they want a Thai wife, but who don't actually want a real Thai woman. And it's full of Thai women who say they want a foreign husband, but who can't tell which men are serious. Both sides waste years.

Ploy.com exists so they don't have to.

The family

A Thai-Western family, not a brochure.

We didn't read about this in a guidebook. We've lived every misunderstanding, every cultural surprise, every quiet moment of figuring it out. Here's a glimpse.

Our home in Surin

A glimpse of our life.

A short clip from our recent housewarming celebration in Surin — family, friends, food, and the kind of welcome only an Isan village can give. This is the life you build when you do it right.

How it works

Slower than an app. Better than a guess.

No infinite scroll. No 300 messages a day. Ploy reads every profile herself and only introduces you to people she believes could actually work.

1

Apply

You fill out a real intake — who you are, what you've been through, what you're looking for. Free, takes about 10 minutes.

2

We talk

Ploy reviews your application personally and arranges a video call. She's been on both sides of this, so the conversation is honest.

3

Hand-matched

If you're a fit, you're added to the matchmaking pool. Ploy introduces you only to people she believes are right for you.

4

You meet

In person, in Thailand, with us nearby for translation, cultural context, and a sanity check on either side.
